Des Moines international airport has one main passenger terminal with concourses A & C. Recently, the terminal completed the renovation and expansion project. The DSM terminal remodels its A & C concourses, removed old scanning machines, and installed-in a baggage line system.
It added new directional signs. The terminal Lobby received a new terrazzo flooring, a unique ceiling design, improved a fire suppression system and traffic flow, also added children playing area, family restrooms.
The lower level- of the DSM terminal is divided into the baggage claim and to the right, ticketing lobby area, to the left is has ground transportation and counters. TheSkywalk in the center is connected to the North and South of the garage.
The upper level- It houses the security checkpoint, also offers access concourses A & C. The top level of the terminal is reached by elevator or escalator. Between the two concourses, there are Lowa Taproom, the capital market place, and True burger.
Concourse A 1 and A2, which is pursued by the business center, is a connector to the gates A3 and A4, with the escalator to the lower level with gates A5A A5C.
Concourse C has gates C1and C7, connected by a walkway with gates C1-C2, C3-C4, and C5-C5-C7.
